FRANKIES RICH’s TOP 10 FAVORITE VINYLS

I’ve been a sucker for vinyl as long as I can remember. This is how my love for music on vinyl started.
My introduction to rock n roll came from going through my dads collection of records that he bought during the 70s. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and The Who where all there to name a few. This is what got me curious of every group that had electric guitars strapped around their necks.

When I later saw KISS on TV I was hooked.
Their image just blev me right of my chair. I remember going over to a friends house and borrowing the Destroyer vinyl. There where so many questions that this band left me with;
Do they really look like this in real life? Does Ace actually play guitar so fast that his guitar catches fire? Is Gene a demon who really spits blood?  What are they singing about? (I did not understand very much English at the time) I could sit for long periods of time just looking at the album artwork that was drawn by cover artist Ken Kelly.

A year later I was introduced to some heavier stuff like WASP, Twisted Sister and Iron Maiden by my buddy Henke Palm. We used to ride our bikes to each others houses and listen to vinyls and look at album artwork and pictures of KISS and Iron Maiden. I will never forget these times and some of these records will stay with me for the rest of my life. This is the music that to this day keeps inspiring me when writing music for DEAF RAT.
